DECLINED

Thank you for your interest in Khu Ioduan! After careful review and discussion of your application, we regret to inform you that your application does not presently meet the standards of the game.

The major issues with your application are numerous. To start, the personality section lacks very little detail about the character and is very disorganized. We had to constantly reference the wiki to get any kind of context for even the character’s most basic personality traits. While the wiki should be a helpful tool, the purpose of the personality section is for you to demonstrate for us in your own words who this character is so that we know you, as a player, have a solid grasp of them.

  • What are Thea’s main motivations? What does she do and what drives her as a person to do those things?
  • What are her experiences with addiction? How did it begin and how has it affected her and her interactions with the people around her? Has there been any fallout that she’s needed to deal with and how did she deal with it?
  • Who are the significant people in her life? How have they changed her as a person? What are her thoughts and feelings about them?
  • What are the significant events in her life? How have they changed her as a person? What are her thoughts and feelings about them?
  • Who trained her and why? Did she choose to take up combat willingly, or was she pressured or forced into it? How have these skills shaped her as a person beyond her physical ability to fight?

Additionally, we have some concerns about the direction you plan to take Thea. While we think it’s great for players to have a solid idea of what kinds of plotlines they’d like to delve into in the game and how they’d like their character to develop, the way you plan to handle Thea’s depression and subsequent breakdown sounds sounds very specific with the desired results being conditional on a certain degree of CR that isn’t guaranteed. Without the supporting character traits in the personality section, the planned direction you've given to take Thea's development seems one-sided and one note. It comes across that you, as a player, are more interested in playing out a hurt/comfort scenario than exploring the deeper implications of Thea’s struggles. While we don’t have any issue with people playing out those kinds of scenarios when it's part of the character's premise, it should not be your character’s core trait in the broader context of a game.

If you wish to correct these identified issues and resubmit, you are welcome to, but such an application will be handled as brand new and subject to a complete re-review.
