Event Suggestions

• Does your character want to cause some mischief and mayhem?
• Do they want to host the party of the season?
• Would they like to mark a special event from their own universe and share it with everyone?

Here is where you can suggest plots and events that you'd like to see happen in game! These can be either character-triggered (like Bob and Sam accidentally release a genie who terrorizes the city with spiteful bad luck wishes!) or be a general effect or happening you'd like to come up (like characters temporarily lose their memories or get fake ones!).

If you have a character or an idea that would help facilitate whichever outcome you're going for, let us know! We'd love to work with players to involve PCs in all the shenanigans that we get up to. But if you can't come up with a feasible way to execute the plan, never fear-- we can pin an awful lot on the fickle Dreaming plane to make it work.

Submitting A Plot/Event

To suggest an event, copy and complete the below form and post it in a comment on this page. The mods will discuss the details and get back to you regarding your idea, or let you know if we need more information.

For events which are time-sensitive (for example, a festival wanting to be held on a particular date or holiday), please try to give the mods at least ONE WEEK lead time. Our modteam is stretched across multiple timezones, so sometimes it takes us a couple days to get everyone's input.

If you've chosen to have your character be the facilitator of an event, the plot becomes your responsibility to organize during the time period assigned. This consists of providing an OOC planning post with details a few days prior to the event, and an in-character log (if applicable).

Instigating Character/Incident:
The Dreaming, inspired by the memories and nostalgia of those who visited during the festival (4th Wall), has returned several of the Dreamfolk to the age in which those memories occured.

Event Outline:
Some of the Dreamfolk revert back to their childhood days. Many don’t remember anything that comes after their ‘current’ age, though they do know where they are through some Dreaming Shenanigans, but several are just freaked out by being smaller than they used to be. Thankfully, not everyone is affected, some of the ‘older’ Dreamfolk are left to wrangle the young ones who are now running amok. Powers remain intact, though just how those abilities are used may not be known. Those who have lost memories may still retain information of Aifaran, such as faces, names and associated thoughts and feelings.

In Short: Some of the Dreamfolk shrink to their younger selves, with optional memory loss, and are free to roam the city, while the remaining Dreamfolk and natives are left to wonder when this will end, or if it even will.

Areas Affected:
The city of Aifaran, limited to Dreamfolk.
Long-Term Impact:
Aside from a few good laughs and some frazzled people who are not used to babysitting now having that skill, there is little impact to the city.
Suggested Duration & Dates:
August 3-10

Your event suggestion has been approved! We'd like to suggest moving the dates to August 8-14 in order to minimize interference from 4th Wall wrap-up. This event will be included on the monthly agenda.

If you could please include a post in the OOC comm a few days before the event and include that this event is opt-in; if you wish to do a collective log for people to tag into, that would also be excellent.
