ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS

Activity Checks

The activity check will be posted on the 1st of every month, and members will have 5 days (AC closes at 11:59PM EST on the 5th) to submit in a comment the activity for each of their characters in the previous month. The initial results will then be posted, with reclaims opened for an additional 3 days on the AC Warning List post.

We highly recommend that players track the activity check tag in the OOC comm (see: screenshot) as the mods are not responsible for ensuring players check in on time, and that failing to check in without a confirmed hiatus or prior contact with the mod team will lead to receiving AC flag(s) for your character(s).

The mod team reserves the right to speak with a player if we notice that their character(s) are abusing the Activity Check system by taking frequent strategic hiatuses, by intentionally not pursing cross-canon CR (only tagging within their cast) or other similar game disruptive behaviors.

We will do our utmost to work with players who have extenuating circumstances regarding their game activity. Please contact us directly through any of the listed methods if needed.

Requirements

The requirement for all active characters in game is ten (10) comments from that character per month.

These 10 comments may be accumulated across up to three separate threads on any qualifying network post or log, with any other player's character. Khu Ioduan weights network and log comments as the same (that is, log tags are not worth "more" than network tags, whether prose or bracket, or all dialogue.) In the case of a post body (log starters, a network post) these count as one comment.

In order for a comment to qualify to be counted for an Activity Check, it must be to a post in the Network or Logs community that was made during the month that AC is for. For example, in order to use a comment toward July's AC, it must have been made on a post dated between July 1-31.

Note: Comments made to memes, IC inboxes, test drive memes, and other non-game sources are not considered viable for Activity Checks.

Khu Ioduan also has an AC grace period of 5 days (the duration of the Activity Check), in which to continue existing threads up to the 5th in order to make the required comment count.

Example: If a thread is standing at 7 comments, the final 3 comments can be added between the 30th and the 5th. However starting a thread (for example on the 4th) on a post made from the previous month (on the 28th) would not count.

ACTIVITY EXEMPTIONS

Occasionally, special event logs like Missions or other game-wide events will qualify for an Activity Exemption, meaning that they can be used for either the month they're posted in, or the following month. This usually happens when the event falls near the end of the month.

These events will be clearly marked in the OOC section of the log/post saying that they can be used for either AC, however a player cannot submit the same event log for BOTH Month 1 and Month 2.

Example: A mission log posted on July 25th and is marked as an activity exemption log, can have threads submitted for either the July AC, or for the August AC, since activity tagging will carry into August anyway. However, a player cannot use that log for both July AND August ACs.

AC FLAGS AND RECLAIMS

If you fail to meet the requirements for a character in a given month, that character is assigned an AC flag. A character can receive one flag every 4 months for insufficient activity, during which if they receive another one, the character will be dropped at the conclusion of that month's AC period. Flags expire automatically at the start of the 4th month after they were given; there is nothing the player needs to do in order for it to come off.

A player who does not respond within the 5 day window for each month's Activity Check may reclaim their character by replying to the Warning List post that goes up following the end of the Activity Check period. A character who is reclaimed during this time receives an AC flag.

IDLING OUT/AC DROPS

Any characters who have not been posted to the month's Activity Check by the end of the Warning List post (which closes at 11:59PM EST on the 8th) will be considered idle and removed from the game.

A player may reapply for an AC dropped/Idled Out character as of the first AC cycle of the following month.

Example: A character auto-dropped for no AC reply at the conclusion of the March AC (as of the close of the Warning List post ending March 8) would not be eligible to return until the April 10-12th application cycle.

Activity Check Points (ACP)

For making the monthly activity requirements of 10 comments, your character will earn 1 ACP. This is called your Primary ACP.

Note: Your bonus ACP cannot be made off the same singular character as your primary ACP in the same month. For example, if the character of Bonnie makes all 10 comments with Clyde for her primary ACP, she cannot use another 10 comments with Clyde for her bonus ACP that month.

Additionally, every character has a chance to earn one Bonus ACP each month. A second set of 10 comments, likewise accumulated from up to 3 qualifying threads, will result in that character earning a Bonus ACP for the month.

Note: ACP is assigned per character, not per player, and cannot be transferred between different characters on the player's roster.

Activity Check Points are used for the IC advancement of a character's Talent. For more information on how to spend your ACP to upgrade a Talent, see the Talents page.
